Initial Consultation

We begin our Initial Consultation by discussing what has led you to seek hypnotherapy and what you hope to achieve. This is our sole opportunity to review past experiences and their impact, helping me gain a clear understanding of your needs.

Next, I’ll gather some basic personal details. Based on my evaluation, I’ll explain how your brain functions, offering insight into why you’re struggling and outlining strategies to help you progress. Many clients find this especially enlightening—a genuine “aha” moment where the benefits of Solution-Focused Therapy become clear.

I’ll then describe how trance is used during hypnotherapy sessions, emphasizing that it’s simply a natural state we all enter several times a day.

​

Throughout our work together, I’ll make sure you’re comfortable with each step. We’ll agree on the level of commitment required—including an estimated number of sessions—to help you feel like yourself again. You’ll also receive my guided relaxation recording, available as an MP3 download for your preferred device.

Each session lasts about 50 minutes. After this initial meeting, you can decide whether you’d like to continue with the treatment process.

Subsequent Sessions

Each follow‑up appointment follows a consistent structure, combining uplifting conversation, neuroscience education, and hypnotic relaxation.

We begin with a positive‑focused check‑in: you’ll share the highlights of your week—what felt good or brought a smile to your face—and we’ll map your progress toward your larger goal, breaking it down into achievable steps. This segment lasts about 25 minutes and weaves in relevant brain science and research so you can see exactly how these insights support your journey.

Next, I guide you into a gentle trance using targeted language patterns and metaphors. Over the next 25 minutes, you’ll visualize and reinforce the positive future you’re crafting, emerging from the session feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and clear‑headed.

While weekly sessions tend to deliver the best momentum, I understand that life can be busy. If once a week doesn’t work for you, please get in touch—together we’ll find a schedule that fits your needs.
